Supplemental on last blog

Stacy Steel, the former NCHS director, pleaded not guilty to the charge of obtaining a prescription drug by fraud and deceit. The maximum penalty for this is three years in the slam and a fine of $10,000. However, since she has had a clean record up to this point, it is doubtful that she will get the max; if at anything perhaps probation, a fine, and/or community service, if the jury finds her guilty for what she is accused of.

More on this story later. Her prelim hearing will be on Thursday, May 25th in Vista.
